Mission and Overview

IPCIPC’s mission to be recognised as the natural partner for the postal industry and the industry organisation for improving service quality, promoting cooperation and interoperability, and providing informed analysis about the postal and related markets.

IPC achieves its mission by focusing on:

  • Upgrading international quality
  • Providing industry intelligence and research
  • Providing platforms for chief executives and their top teams to exchange views and share learning

Upgrading Quality

IPC’s members have a long track record of cooperating to upgrade cross-border quality of service. IPC provides technological and cooperative solutions that enable its member postal operators to achieve common goals for improving quality of service performance.

Our work focuses on helping members upgrade and maintain their end-to-end performance. This includes providing postal operators with tools to monitor and streamline processes and certifying that International Offices of Exchange meet the most exacting and rigorous operational standards ever required in international mail processing.

Industry Intelligence

IPC is dedicated to helping postal operators achieve profitable growth through market knowledge and innovation. We provide relevant, accurate and reliable intelligence on markets, products and new service opportunities for postal businesses. We identify ways for the industry to strengthen relationships with customers through initiatives for sustainable development.

Our unique position as an independent research body at the heart of the postal industry means that our findings are objective, non-partisan and cost-effective. Through our perspective across multiple national markets, we identify trends as they emerge and seek out individual success stories that have relevance for other postal operators.

IPC offers its members insight into market and regulatory developments. Together with its members, IPC initiates and conducts research on regulatory, legal and political issues, including benchmarking studies and analyses of relevant regulatory questions.

Providing Platforms for Collaboration

Increasing competition within the postal industry calls for greater cooperation among postal operators. IPC provides a framework for member networking and knowledge sharing by establishing platforms − such as our Best Practice Seminars, Senior Executive Forums on Direct Mail and Parcels and Express, and Annual Conferences. We bring together senior postal executives across a range of functions and facilitate further postal operator cooperation by leading groups dedicated to developing solutions to specific cross-border market requirements.
