IPC Cross-Border E-Commerce

SEF on e-commerce & the consumer in 2020 IPC Cross-Border E-Commerce Report, launched in May 2010, explores the growth potential for cross-border e-commerce in seven countries in Europe and North America. The research focuses on retail segments of particular interest to the postal industry and includes both e-retailer and consumer perspectives.

The research explores drivers and barriers to online shopping for goods requiring physical delivery, both domestically and across borders and invites postal operators to re-appraise the range of delivery features and services currently offered to e-retailers.

Through benchmarking analysis of countries at different stages of e-commerce development, IPC members gain additional insights which will enable them to position postal services as the partner of choice to support the fast, yet unpredictable growth of e-commerce.

IPC members can access the benchmark analysis as well as individual country reports.

IPC Cross-Border E-Commerce Report

 e-commerce report

IPC’s Cross-border E-commerce Report is now publically available for all postal stakeholders to access.

This report is the result of a comprehensive research programme conducted by IPC in 2009 and 2010. This research aims to provide a holistic analysis of the trends and drivers shaping cross-border e-commerce from two perspectives, the e-retailer (postal customer) and the consumer (end-customer).
