IPC Market Audits

The IPC Letters Market Audit is an ongoing service that gives each participating IPC member and key operators a unique opportunity to receive a better understanding of the outbound cross-border letter markets in which they operate.

The programme is characterised by:

  • Participants pool data on outbound cross-border letter volumes, weight and revenue
  • A UK based independent research agency analyses and prepares quarterly market reports for individual participants based on this information
  • Each operator receives reports with information on their own share of the market, and the total market size
  • Particpants can take part in quarterly forecasting
  • The network effect of market audit participation ensures IPC is able to provide accurate, cost-effective results for the benefit of the participants
IPC is currently working with members and key industry carriers on an IPC Express Market Audit and an IPC Parcels Market Audit.

Further information can be found in the IPC Market Audit Project Manual 2009
