International Post Corporation (IPC) is the leading service provider of the global postal industry. IPC provides leadership by driving service quality, interoperability and business-critical intelligence to support posts in defending existing business and expanding into new growth areas. It is a cooperative association of 24 member postal operators in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. IPC’s solutions and services are used by over 180 posts worldwide. Since 1989 IPC has set standards for upgrading quality and service performance and developed technological solutions that help members enhance service for international letters, packets and parcels.

Principle Accountability

The Business Intelligence (BI) Architect designs and manages IPC’s BI architecture, understands reporting and BI requirements from the business and proposes solutions, explains BI solutions to business and members, designs reporting and BI solutions.

Responsibilities

Reporting and BI Architecture

  • Manage, design and document the BI landscape of IPC
  • Design the BI Architecture
  • Work together with the Technology Operations team to define the BI infrastructure landscape
  • Define the BI roadmap

Data Landscape

  • Document the data landscape used by BI
  • Manage the implementation of the data retention policies in BI

BI Solution design - Design BI reports and dashboards to fulfil business needs

Training

  • Make sure training material and deployment documentation is available
  • Train the business and members in the BI solutions

Person Description

  • Knowledge of BI Architecture, Oracle (desirable), Pentaho (desirable), Microstrategy
  • Minimum 15 years in reporting and BI
  • Proven experience in applying designing and deploying reporting and BI solutions
  • Experience in the Postal world (desirable)
  • Experience in management consulting is an additional asset
  • University Degree
  • Good understanding of Postal, logistics and eCommerce processes
  • Strong reporting and BI skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills and able to present technical solution to non-technical audiences
  • Good spoken/written English
  • “Can do” approach
