Job specifications

  • Designs IPC’s systems & application architecture
  • Creates system and application diagrams, data flows, technical interface diagrams
  • Creates a full overview of IPC’s systems & applications landscape
  • Provides coding guidelines and performs code reviews
  • Works closely with IPC’s development teams, on-site and nearshore
  • Works closely with IPC’s infrastructure team
  • Designs technology solutions that IPC offers to its members and customers
  • Works with IPC’s members and customers to support the deployment and integration of IPC’s technology solutions with the IT systems of IPC’s members and customers

Minimum requirements

  •  A bachelor or master degree in IT
  •  Fluent in English, spoken and written
  •  5 years of experience in systems & application architecture, e.g. as a senior developer or as an enterprise architect
  • 10 years of experience in IT as a developer with an affinity for systems and infrastructure
  • Experience in technology solution design, making the bridge between business requirements and technology solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Java and related frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of application interfaces, API’s, Message Exchange Platforms, Message Bus and Queues, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), , EAI (Enterprise Application Integration), EDI, XML, JSON, …
  • A broad technical knowledge in microservice architectures, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Perl, Python, Bash, SonarCube, R, analytics and Business Intelligence, MicroStrategy, ETL (Extract Transform Load), Pentaho, cloud solutions (Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services), Big Data (Google Big Query, Hadoop or other big data query and analysis techniques)
  •  A broad knowledge of Enterprise Architecture, Data Modelling, BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation), Object Modelling and TOGAF.
  •  Ability to develop and implement Proof Of Concepts
  • Experience with business processes in eCommerce and logistics, preferably postal processes, cross border trade and transport and knowledge of technology solutions in these areas (e.g. experience with webshops like Magenta, PrestaShop, payment platforms, logistics systems, …)
  •  Very analytical, problem solving, communicative, “can-do” attitude, flexible, adaptable
  • Eager to learn, follows up latest technology trends
