An Post achieved a return to revenue growth and profitability in 2017, with the revenue performance driven by parcels growth – stemming from new service launch and higher demand – and price increases to offset mail volume declines. Following a strategic review, An Post has split its operations into two businesses: An Post Mails and Parcels and An Post Retail. While the former will look to take advantage of e-commerce growth, the latter will look to extend services in three key areas: financial, government and e-commerce services.
