In 2017, Canada Post’s total revenue grew 4.4%, the fastest growth recorded by the operator since 2014. Canada Post’s total mail and parcels volumes grew 0.5% year on year in 2017, with the operator handling 8.4bn items. Volume declines for transactional mail were offset by steady growth in admail and strong growth for parcels. In Q1 2018, the Canadian government announced its new vision for Canada Post, which will see increased focus on government service access for all Canadians.
