Correios Brasil’s net sales increased 4.8% in 2018, with strong parcels and international logistics growth offsetting declines for transactional mail and direct marketing.

However, one-off effects in the prior year resulted in a 10.5% drop in total revenue for 2018. Lower revenue also impacted the operator’s profitability, despite it cutting staff costs by 10.7% in the year. In the short term, Correios Brasil aims to improve profitability through further cost reduction, as well as growing emerging businesses, including logistics.
