NZ Post Board Chair Jane Taylor today announced that David Walsh will take up the role of Chief Executive Officer at NZ Post, with effect from 1 May 2017.

New Zealand Post Board Chair Jane Taylor has announced that David Walsh will take up the role of Chief Executive Officer at New Zealand Post, with effect from 1 May 2017. The announcement follows the notice of retirement of Sir Brian Roche. Mr Walsh has been at New Zealand Post for two years as Chief Financial Officer and has provided executive leadership to the Information Technology function.

Prior to joining New Zealand Post, he was appointed as CFO at KiwiRail in 2004, before moving into the role of General Manager, Corporate & Finance. Earlier in his career, Mr Walsh spent time in the NZ Racing Board, Fonterra, TransAlta NZ and Shell NZ. Since joining New Zealand Post, Walsh has been instrumental in building the performance and capability of the Finance team, as well as taking an important leadership role across the Group Technology function.
