Description

A slight rise in mail revenue – driven by election volumes and price increases – was offset by declining revenue for retail services for An Post in 2016, resulting in an overall drop of 0.1% in group revenue. An Post saw strong demand for new services launched in 2016, including its AddressPal cross-border shipping service, which gained 100,000 users in the seven months after launch. From 2017, An Post will look to improve operational efficiency, cut costs and develop new revenue-generating services to create sustainable growth.
