Bpost invested around €75m in new company acquisitions in 2016, rapidly expanding its domestic and international parcel services. The operator significantly added to its parcel locker network through investment in de Buren, while acquisitions in Australia, Canada and the US expanded logistics and delivery services in international markets. However, despite double-digit domestic parcel volume growth, bpost reported total revenue down 0.3% in 2016, with growth offset by declines for domestic and international mail services.
