Strong growth for e-commerce logistics and domestic parcel services offset the impact of an accelerated decline in mail volume, with total revenue increasing 8% in 2020.

Parcel volumes delivered by bpost in Belgium and the Netherlands increased more than 50% in 2020, including growth of 75% in the second quarter. Growing demand from existing e-commerce logistics customers drove segment revenue growth of 30% in Europe and Asia and 24% in North America. Meanwhile, domestic mail volumes dropped 12% in 2020, with admail volumes falling 19%. Through its Connect 2026 strategy, the post aims to increase its position in the e-commerce fulfilment sector, becoming an omni-commerce service provider.
