During the first five months of 2026, LP EXPRESS parcel machines delivered almost 7 million parcels, a third more than in the same period last year. Despite the growing flow of parcels, almost 96 percent of them reached their recipients the next business day.

"This year, new LP EXPRESS parcel machines have been installed in Prienai, Jonava, Jurbarkas, Šakiai, Varėna, Kelmė, Biržai, Kupiškis and other districts. By the end of the year, we plan to install a total of over 80 parcel machines in various municipalities across the country. These numbers primarily mean people to us – their daily experiences, time and expectations. We strive to bring postal services as close to residents as possible, therefore one of the main tasks of Lithuanian Post remains solutions that meet the needs of both cities and regions," says Minister of Transport and Communications Juras Taminskas.

"The almost one-third increase in the number of parcels shows that parcel locker services in Lithuania are becoming an increasingly important part of everyday life. Therefore, we are investing both in the development of the LP EXPRESS network and in logistics capabilities so that we can maintain the high quality of parcel delivery. By expanding the parcel locker network in the regions, we aim to ensure that more and more residents can use the convenient LP EXPRESS services closer to their homes," says Kastytis Valantinas, Director General of Lithuanian Post.

Currently, the LP EXPRESS network in Lithuania consists of 522 parcel machines with almost 76 thousand parcel boxes. During the first five months of this year, a total of 12 new LP EXPRESS parcel machines were installed in Prienai, Schweiz, Žeimiai, Smalininkai, Kudirkos Naumiestis, Merkinė, Skaudvilė, Užventis, Vabalninkes, Subačius, as well as in Vilnius and Kaunas.

Lithuania, together with the other Baltic countries, remains among the European countries that most actively use parcel machines. According to research, about 80 percent of parcels are collected by residents of the Baltic countries at parcel machines. As their popularity grows, Lithuanian Post is constantly expanding the network of parcel machines and investing in their accessibility so that residents can send and collect parcels throughout the country even more conveniently.

In 2026 alone, it is planned to build 81 new parcel lockers in smaller Lithuanian towns. In them, residents can already receive part of the universal postal services - sending and receiving parcels from abroad.
