Hrvatska pošta, in cooperation with its authorized partner, the company ZONOS, once again made it possible to send goods in parcels to the United States of America.

According to an Executive Order issued by the President of the United States of America, by suspending the duty-free de minimis treatment of goods in postal shipments (goods with a value of less than $800) duties/taxes must be paid before the goods arrive in the US. As a temporary solution, Hrvatska pošta has agreed with the company ZONOS on the possibility of paying customs/taxes with the help of the ZONOS application before the shipment is received for shipment to the USA.

The new procedure applies to all types of goods that are shipped to the USA, including goods labeled as "gifts". The newly introduced procedure does not apply to shipments in which documents or written communication are sent, which are still received and shipped to the US in the usual way.
