Savers invested an average of €1.1 million per day in government debt through the CTT app, breaking all records since the launch of this digital service.

August was the best month ever, with over €23.4 million invested in Savings Certificates and Treasury Certificates through the CTT App , a value 3% higher than that recorded in July.

The recorded performance confirms the strong uptake of the Digital Savings feature offered by CTT, also driven by the entry into force of the new series of Treasury Certificates. Since the launch of this feature in July 2024, customers have already invested nearly €325 million through the CTT App, reinforcing the role of digital channels in savings management and reflecting the growing interest in these savings solutions.

Through the CTT App, customers can subscribe to Savings Certificates and Treasury Certificates in a simple, fast and secure way, anytime and from anywhere. The growing use of this feature demonstrates the confidence of the Portuguese in the State's savings products and in the digital experience provided by CTT.

Savings Certificates remain a particularly attractive solution for those seeking flexibility, allowing an initial subscription starting from €100 and additional investments from €10. Treasury Certificates, aimed at longer-term savings goals, can be subscribed to from €1,000, also entirely digitally.

In the "Save and Protect" section of the CTT App, savers with a Savings Account can subscribe and top up their accounts, view transactions, simulate the potential return on their investments, and share these simulations. In this way, CTT provides a simpler, more autonomous, and convenient way to manage savings.

The application is available for iOS and Android devices. To learn more about the characteristics of Savings Certificates and Treasury Certificates, as well as to simulate the potential return on investment, customers can consult the information available on the CTT website, without needing to register.

To open a new Savings Account, customers can visit any of the 563 CTT stores across the country, taking advantage of the network's proximity. The process can also be expedited by obtaining a digital password through the CTT App or by scheduling a visit in advance on the CTT website or by calling 800 201 800.
