Continued growth in Express and Supply Chain, as well as a strong performance in the Freight division, drove group revenue up by a sixth in 2022.

Deutsche Post DHL has recorded strong year-on-year profitability since 2018, driven largely by growth for DHL Express. 2022 saw a turn-down in profitability in eCommerce and Express compared to 2021, offset by significant growth in EBIT in the Global Forwarding, Freight and Supply Chain divisions (growth of 77% and 27%, respectively). This growth was driven by high capacity use across a well-developed network, and higher rates due to capacity constraints particularly in the freight sector.
