The COVID-19 pandemic drove strong e-commerce parcel growth for New Zealand Post but also a sharp drop in mail demand.

As a result, the post reported stable revenue performance for 2019. Domestic parcel volumes grew 4% year on year, boosting parcel division revenue by 9%. To meet growing parcel demand, the post aims to invest €100m in doubling its sorting capacity in the coming decade.
