Brussels Low Emission Zone

From January 2018 Brussels has become a LEZ and cars judged to be polluting are not allowed to drive in Brussels anymore. The focus is currently on old diesel cars, but as from 2019 some old Petrol/LPG/CNG vehicles will be targeted. You can find more information on www.lez.brussels. You can check for instance whether your car is still allowed to drive in Brussels (www.lez.brussels/en/content/affected-vehicles).

We advise you to check whether your car is still allowed to drive in Brussels. Please note that the Brussels authorities levies fines for cars that aren't compliant. Cameras will be located at the zone border.

For cars registered abroad, registration is compulsory. The registration is free and can be done via the following link: https://lez.brussels/en/content/registration.
