While parcels growth was sufficient to offset the decline in mail revenue in 2020, lower other income resulted in a 4% drop in total revenue for Iceland Post in 2020.

Parcels and express revenue grew by more than 50% in the year, drive by strong domestic e-commerce demand. To support contactless delivery, Iceland Post extended its parcel locker and other pick-up point networks in 2020, opening its first Pakkaport partner pick-up points. In 2021, same-day delivery to parcel lockers was launched in some regions. The post also sought to meet e-retailer demands, developing new drop-off services and extending partnerships with leading e-commerce platforms.
