A 31% increase in parcels service revenue drove double-digit revenue growth for Pos Indonesia in 2018.

Growth for the parcels segment more than offset continued declines for mail and financial services. Revenue for the latter segment fell 8% in 2018, with strong competition, regulatory restrictions and the rise of digital alternatives all impacting Pos Indonesia’s payment services. Meanwhile, growth of more than 40% for logistics service revenue contributed to the share of the post’s revenue derived from non-mail services increasing from 70% in 2017 to 74% in 2018.
