Lower demand for mail, parcel and financial services during the pandemic, particularly during lockdown periods, drove a 48% drop in revenue for PHLPost in 2020.

Domestic standard mail volumes fell by close to two fifths, while international volumes dropped by over 90%, amid border closures, reduced air cargo capacity and business closures. Despite operational challenges, PHLPost expanded services in 2020 by supporting government delivery efforts during the pandemic, as well as partnering with local government units to open postal agencies in new municipalities, extending postal service access.
