PostNord’s total revenue increased 4% in 2021, with demand for parcels and digital services offsetting a continued decline for mail services.

Parcels, e-commerce and logistics services accounted for close to two thirds of the post’s total revenue in 2021, driven by a 14% increase in parcel volumes. B2C volumes increased by 18% in the year, while B2B volumes also grew strongly. However, from 2022 the post expects growth rates to return to levels seen before the pandemic. Nevertheless, holding a leading position in the parcels sector remains a key part of the group strategy.

The rate of decline for mail volumes slowed in both Denmark and Sweden in 2021, although group volumes still fell 10% in the year. Mail revenue dropped 5% but state compensation in Denmark supported stable profitability. For more details download the latest IPC Carrier Intelligence Report for PostNord.
