UK e-commerce volumes going 'cross-border' continue to rise, with particularly strong growth in the share of online retail orders headed for destinations in the EU, according to the latest data from the IMRG MetaPack UK Delivery Index. Total online retail delivery order volumes in the UK were up 16.5% year-on-year in July, the survey-based index showed. The growth in volume of parcels outstripped online retail sales revenue growth last month (which was up 11%), the Index revealed, suggesting that discounting during the summer sales period may have accounted for a significant portion of those sales.
