Cdiscount, the e-commerce arm of French retail group, Casino, has announced the launch of its services in Belgium, Germany, Italy and Spain, effective earlier this month. Customers in these four countries can order products (with a unit weight of less than 30 kilos) dispatched directly from the company's warehouses in France. From mid-July, wines will also be available and effective this autumn, the addition of products with a unit weight of more than 30 kilos. “Already attractive for thousands of foreign e-sellers on its markeplace, Cdiscount is tapping a new market of 200 million consumers,” it said. A partnership agreement with Chronopost makes it possible for Cdiscount to deliver to customers in Belgium and Spain in 48 hours and in Italy and Germany in 72 hours.
