PostNord TPL is acquiring Babyshop’s automation facility in Stigamo, Jönköping Municipality. This strategic acquisition marks an important investment for TPL, which is thus strengthening its presence in the Jönköping area, a logistics hub in Sweden. In connection with the acquisition, PostNord TPL is also taking over the business and operation of Babyshop’s warehouse. The takeover will take place in summer 2023.

Babyshop’s warehouse in Stigamo encompasses 42,000 square meters and is equipped with a state-of-the-art AutoStore facility for automated logistics management. The fully developed facility is particularly suitable for e-commerce and offers both free space and free automation capacity. The acquisition provides TPL with the opportunity to offer other customers a complete and efficient logistics service, mainly in the SME sector.

“We look forward to welcoming Babyshop as a customer and benefiting from the extensive e-commerce experience of their existing staff,” says Jonas Kolehmainen, CEO of PostNord TPL. “This acquisition complements existing operations at Husqvarna’s spare parts warehouse in Stigamo and strengthens our presence as a reliable logistics partner.”

To ensure a smooth transition, the approximately 30 employees at the Babyshop warehouse will be offered employment with PostNord TPL. In addition, TPL will take over all contracts with suppliers for the operation of the warehouse, ensuring a seamless transition for Babyshop.

PostNord TPL always strives to offer comprehensive logistics solutions tailored to the customer. TPL’s broad experience, deep expertise and extensive knowledge enables companies to focus their time and energy on achieving their full potential in their respective fields. The acquisition of the Babyshop warehouse is a clear example of how PostNord TPL can help companies maximize their business.
