Douglas post office, Cork, which has been temporarily closed since September 2, 2019, re-opened for business on today (Monday).

The post office is located in a new stand-alone premises located in the Douglas Court Shopping Centre, Douglas, Cork, which is 100 yards away from the former premises which closed as a result of a fire at the Douglas Shopping Centre last year.

The post office will open from Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm, and Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm.
 
Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection customers currently accessing their payments through Blackrock post office , will now transfer back to Douglas post office e from today.
 
Pat Cremin, An Post’s Business Development manager for the Cork region said ‘’We are delighted to be back in action in Douglas. Our new office will offer all that’s best in the modern post office to regular customers and also a new generation of post office users’.
 
Mr Cremin said the new office provided all long established post office services, along with a range of popular financial products including the An Post Money Current Account, Credit Card, loans and Foreign Exchange.
