Aras Kargo, a subsidiary of Austrian Post and one of the leading parcel companies in Turkey, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Iraqi company Galina Express. This agreement provides Aras Kargo with an end-to-end logistics solution for the delivery of parcels from Turkey to neighboring Iraq.
Under the terms of the agreement, Aras Kargo will handle the sorting and transport of shipments to the Iraqi border. There, they will be handed over to Galina Express, which will be responsible for the last mile and delivery in Iraq. This creates a seamless logistics process that meets the needs of Turkish shipping customers seeking to tap into a new, rapidly growing market.

Peter Umundum, Deputy General Director, Member of the Board for Parcel & Logistics, Austrian Post: "With this cooperation, we are building a bridge between Europe, Turkey, and Iraq and simultaneously taking the first step into a new market. With almost 50 million inhabitants, increasing internet coverage, and growing interest in online commerce, Iraq offers great potential for growth. With Galina Express, we have a strong local partner at our side who will accept parcels from Turkish senders at the border and deliver them on behalf of Aras Kargo."
