Korea Post recorded its fastest revenue growth for more than five years in 2018, with total revenue increasing 3% in the year.

The operator saw improved revenue performance for the year across all business divisions. In the mail sector, increased demand for international mail and higher-value services such as registered mail drove a 2% revenue increase. Meanwhile, parcels revenue grew strongly despite declining demand for EMS delivery. However, increasing demands on the delivery workforce resulted in the operator adding over 1,000 new delivery staff in 2018, squeezing profitability.
