Growth for parcels and financial services offset a steady decline in mail revenue in 2019, supporting an 11% increase in total revenue for Magyar Posta.

Despite increased revenue for value-add services, mail revenue fell 2% year on year. Admail volumes dropped by almost a quarter. In contrast, total parcels and express volumes increased 7% in 2019, with business parcel volumes driving growth. Increased e-commerce activity as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic will lead to a 20% increase parcel volumes for 2020, the post forecasts.
