Magyar Posta’s net sales grew by more than 10% in 2021, driven by strong performance for parcels and financial services. One-off effects led to a sharp drop in total revenue, though.

The post saw its parcels and express revenue increase 5% in the year, despite no growth in total volumes. While international parcel volumes grew steadily in 2021, revenue from these services fell as geographic and product demands shifted from the prior year.

Mail revenue continued to fall, despite increased mailings from government agencies boosting priority and non-priority mail volumes. Citing the high costs of delivery, as well as falling demand, the post discontinued its unaddressed admail services in mid-2021.
