Despite recording slowing volume growth for parcels, net sales for e-commerce parcels and logistics services compensated for declining sales across mail divisions, driving the increase in total net sales for the year. Meanwhile, third-party logistics sales increased 6% in 2019.
Sharp volume declines continued to weigh on performance for mail divisions in 2019. Both PostNord Denmark and PostNord Sweden have adjusted mail delivery services, increased rates and cut their mail workforces in recent years to improve profitability.
