The IPC Annual Conference 2019 will take place in Bonn, Germany on 23-24 May 2019 and will focus on postal sector sustainability and the challenge for the next ten years.

The rapid increase in e-commerce and continued urbanisation means that delivery logistics will put additional pressure on the urban infrastructure and potentially increase carbon emissions.

How can posts, through their ubiquitous physical network, contribute to a sustainable delivery model? How can innovative delivery methods play a role in the development of sustainable logistics? What are the real economics of electric delivery vehicles? How close is the advent of the driverless delivery vehicle? How can posts take advantage of these changes to strengthen the postal brand?

Global sustainability experts and thought leaders will be invited to speak and debate. Peter Bakker, President of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development has already confirmed his participation.
