Already supported by nearly 10,000 partner pickup points, DPD France is expanding its network to include 6,000 Pickup lockers, most of which are accessible 24/7.

These lockers allow recipients to collect their parcels whenever they choose, independently, quickly, and securely using a QR code. In response to the rapid evolution of e‑commerce habits, DPD France is strengthening its out‑of‑home delivery network by deploying Pickup locker delivery across the entire country.

By combining its network of partner pickup points with 6,000 lockers, DPD France meets e‑shoppers’ expectations for flexibility, simplicity, and autonomy, while offering them greater freedom of choice at the time of delivery. Highly popular among online shoppers, lockers are now the third most widely used delivery method in France, with a 94% satisfaction rate¹. They are particularly appealing to younger generations and have become a key driver of out‑of‑home delivery, with usage up 9 points compared to 2023¹.

The rollout of Pickup locker delivery at DPD France is part of a strategy to install lockers in locations already integrated into consumers’ daily routines—supermarkets, transport hubs, local shops, and service stations—allowing them to combine errands and save time.

Pickup lockers complement the solutions already offered by DPD France: Predict home delivery and Pickup point delivery. This approach enables the company to offer a range of complementary delivery options tailored to the specific needs of e‑retailers and their end customers, while providing greater clarity and choice throughout the purchasing journey.

“With Pickup locker delivery, we are strengthening our out‑of‑home offering to provide e‑shoppers with even more flexibility, simplicity, and autonomy. This solution reflects our commitment to supporting the long‑term growth of our e‑commerce clients, both in France and internationally,”
says Samuel Gangnant, Managing Director of DPD France.

For shippers looking to expand internationally, locker delivery is also available in 22 European destinations. Each country offers a tailored customer experience (collection methods, notifications, holding times, etc.) to ensure a smooth process aligned with local practices.

This rollout is also part of DPD France’s CSR strategy: more than one‑third of Pickup lockers are powered by solar energy, reducing the carbon impact of last‑mile delivery. A solar‑powered locker consumes ten times less energy than a standard locker, resulting in a significantly lower environmental footprint².

With Pickup locker delivery, DPD France reaffirms its ambition: to offer high‑performance, responsible delivery solutions adapted to new e‑commerce habits.
