DPD Germany and GLS have clearly stated their objective of deploying one of the largest out-of-home networks in Germany by the end of 2027. Customers should then be able to send and receive their parcels via 20,000 shared out-of-home locations, including up to 6,000 automated lockers.
The two partners already have approximately 10,000 collection points, a significant portion of which are accessible to customers of both operators. At the same time, the joint network of automated lockers is expanding rapidly. With inboxx, this network is now consolidated under a dedicated brand, embodying flexibility, convenience, and strong brand recognition in customers' daily lives. What has been built gradually through the partnership now has its own distinct identity.
inboxx represents a network open to various operators, currently offering senders and recipients, and eventually other parcel carriers and retail partners, access to a high-performance logistics infrastructure. The result is a shared platform located wherever people move in urban areas. With inboxx, the parcel waits for the customer, not the other way around.
