CTTexpress, the Iberian e-commerce logistics brand of the CTT Group, recorded a 64% increase in out-of-home (OOH) deliveries in the Iberian Peninsula in the first half of this year, compared to the same period in 2025.

In total, more than 4.8 million shipments were made to proximity points and lockers in the first six months of the year, reflecting the rapid expansion of this delivery model.

In Portugal, this consumer habit is consolidating, with a 17% increase, supported by this highly capillary network close to the customer. In Spain, growth accelerated sharply, registering a 142% increase up to June compared to the same period in 2025.

This evolution accompanies a clear change in consumer behavior, who are increasingly prioritizing solutions that give them greater convenience and control over delivery.

Out-of-home options – such as collection points, lockers, or workplace delivery – are gaining traction and establishing themselves as a central element of the e-commerce experience, allowing users to choose when and where they receive or send their orders. E-commerce operators are also increasingly offering these delivery solutions to their customers. The combination of convenience for consumers and operational efficiency has contributed to greater adoption of this model, keeping pace with the growth of e-commerce and the transformation of last-mile logistics.

“The network of collection points and lockers has ceased to be an alternative and has become a critical infrastructure for e-commerce. Without capillarity and network density, it is not possible to respond to the current market scale or to consumer convenience expectations. At CTTexpress, we continue to strengthen this network to guarantee proximity and flexibility,” says Alfonso Pastor, Product Director at CTTexpress.

The growth of OOH (Out-of-Home) advertising emerges in a context of strong dynamism in e-commerce. According to CTTexpress's March e-commerce barometer for the Portuguese market, 85.1% of operators reported growth in online sales in 2025, and 83% expect this trend to continue in 2026, consolidating the importance of digital in retail.

According to the same study, out-of-home deliveries show the greatest potential for future growth, accompanied by a shift in consumer choice criteria, with consumers prioritizing free delivery, speed, and predictability.

In this context, delivery is no longer just a matter of speed but a matter of control, with consumers seeking more flexible solutions adapted to their daily lives.

Following consumer preferences, CTTexpress currently has a network of over 20,000 collection points in the Iberian Peninsula, ensuring a local solution for sending, collecting, and returning express parcels.

This network is also gaining relevance in the 'Consumer to Consumer' (C2C) segment, associated with sales between individuals, where ease, proximity, and simplicity are key.

The company continues its commitment to strengthening one of the densest networks in the Iberian Peninsula, positioning itself in a market where convenience, proximity, and user experience are increasingly crucial.
