A yellow ticket in your mailbox no longer has to mean a mandatory stop at the post office. From June 2026, you can redirect your registered parcel to BalíkoBOX free of charge and pick it up at any time – 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our data confirms that BalíkoBOX is becoming a natural part of everyday routes for stored shipments. The customer simply chooses the device that is closer to home, work, school or a place they regularly pass by.

This is exactly how a modern postal service is supposed to work – adapting to you, not your daily schedule, to the branch's opening hours.

Time is one of the main advantages of BalíkoBOX. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You have two full days to pick up your registered parcel ; the day it is placed in the box does not count towards this period. After delivery, you will receive an SMS or email with a PIN code, thanks to which you can open the box.

BalíkoBOX is not the only option

Even if you don't have a BalíkoBOX at hand, you don't automatically have to travel to the post office with a yellow ticket. You can request a repeated delivery of a parcel stored at the post office to the same address, or to have it redirected to another address or to another post office in Slovakia. These services are free of charge from January 2026.

The yellow ticket is no longer an instruction to "come to the post office", but information that the shipment is waiting for the customer and they can choose how to get it.

You can request repeated delivery or redirection to BalíkoBOX via the Slovak Post mobile application , on the website in the Parcel Tracking section , or via the Customer Center. The option of redirection to BalíkoBOX does not yet apply to registered shipments with the "In Your Own Hands" service and shipments with a delivery note.
