Customers in Møre og Romsdal are impressively quick to collect their packages. When a package is collected, the hatch is freed up so that we can replenish it with new fresh packages. This becomes particularly important in the weeks before Christmas, when millions of packages are due to arrive in a short time, says Thomas Støkken, Executive Vice President for e-commerce and logistics at Posten Bring.
Nationwide, it takes an average of 26.5 hours to collect packages, but packages delivered to Pakkeboks in Møre og Romsdal are collected after an average of 22.9 hours. This is followed by Innlandet with 24.0 hours and Østfold with 24.7 hours.

Expecting a new record
Last year's Christmas record for the number of parcels delivered to Pakkeboks was already broken in August. Now, Norway Post expects a record number of parcels in the parcel boxes in the run-up to Christmas this year. From January to September, the number of parcels delivered to Pakkeboks increased by around 50 percent compared to the same period last year.
– The fact that we broke the previous record already in August shows how quickly the use of Pakkeboks is increasing. That is why we have established new locations and upgraded 300 existing Pakkeboks locations throughout the year, says Støkken.
Fast pickup gives better space
At the most popular locations, Posten will replenish with new packages several times a day. The regular collection period has been reduced to four days, but can be extended by three days in the Posten app. More than nine out of ten packages are collected within four days.
“The parcel box gives customers the freedom to pick up when it suits them. At the same time, quick pickup helps us make room for even more Christmas packages,” says Støkken.
