The National Company "Poșta Românâ" has completed the relocation of the Central Administration to the headquarters in Calea Giulești, Bucharest - a key moment in the extensive process of streamlining the company's activity.

The Romanian Post implemented a deep restructuring of the administrative apparatus, eliminating 75% of the positions at the central level – from 1,200 to 300 employees. At the national level, the total number of employees was reduced by 18%, from 25,000 in June 2021 to 20,500 currently, without affecting the quality of services. Since the beginning of 2025, the number of employees in the Central Administration has decreased by 67 positions, representing a significant percentage of 20%, generating an annual saving of approximately 10,000,000 lei to the company's budget.

The relocation decision reflects the strategic vision of the current management team, which wanted the command center to be integrated with the Bucharest Regional Logistics and Courier Hub – currently undergoing modernization – and with the Bucharest Branch. The new location facilitates better operational coordination and responds to the need for agility and customer orientation. The former headquarters at Dacia Boulevard no. 140 has already been put up for rent, a strategic measure to reduce fixed costs and generate additional income.

"The relocation of the Central Administration to Calea Giulești, Bucharest reflects our firm commitment to a modern and efficient Romanian Post. We have reconfigured the administrative structure to be more flexible and functional, and the proximity to the logistics center allows us to integrate processes and respond more quickly to customer requirements. It is an essential step towards transforming the company into a relevant actor in the digital age, " said Valentin Ștefan, General Manager of Romanian Post.

We remind you that the Romanian Post is at a defining moment in its evolution. The National Company “Romanian Post” has assumed an active role in the reconstruction of Romania’s logistics infrastructure, with the clear objective of developing a network that is not only functional, but also competitive, agile and perfectly integrated into the global dynamics of the courier market. Investments in modernization and re-technology amount to over 150 million lei, with an emphasis on the reconstruction of the logistics infrastructure. To date, 8 state-of-the-art sorting equipment have been purchased, of which 4 have already been installed in the hubs in Cluj-Napoca, Oradea, Timișoara and Galați. Once these investments are completed, the Romanian Post will have the capacity to process approximately 500,000 parcels per day – a significant increase in operational efficiency.
