Austrian Post has opened a new self-service branch at Laurenzerberg 2 in Vienna's 1st district. This will give over 11,000 households and businesses at Schwedenplatz the opportunity to pick up or send their parcels around the clock.

The new 24/7 self-service branch was officially opened by Markus Figl, District Mayor of the Inner City, and Walter Oblin, CEO of Austrian Post.

Markus Figl, District Mayor of the Inner City: "The district is committed to ensuring local supplies for the residents of the Inner City. With the new 24/7 self-service branch at Laurenzerberg, flexibility for customers is a top priority. Especially in times of changing communication behavior, it is important for us as a district for all generations to have Austrian Post as a reliable partner at our side."

Walter Oblin, CEO of Österreichische Post AG: "With our new 24/7 self-service branch in the inner city, we are setting a strong example for modern, citizen-oriented infrastructure right in the heart of Vienna. This attractive location offers maximum flexibility for our customers while simultaneously revitalizing the public space. True to our claim 'Always there when you need us,' we are combining innovative services with urban quality of life, right where people live and work."

THE NEW SELF-SERVICE BRANCH IN THE INNER CITY

The new self-service branch has an area of almost 130 m² and offers space for a modern post office with around 540 parcel collection slots, as well as a redesigned area with 330 traditional post office boxes for receiving letters. Two shipping stations allow for the franking and mailing of letters, parcels, or returns. A street-side postal advertising window (digital out-of-home screen) also offers an attractive advertising opportunity directly in a busy neighborhood in the heart of Vienna. The new self-service branch is bright and modern, and the sustainable furnishings include wooden paneling elements that contribute to a pleasant atmosphere.
