Where there is no post office nearby, mail arrives directly at the residents' homes. Mobile mail carriers, loved and appreciated by customers, provided almost 13 million services throughout Lithuania in 2025, ensuring that parcels, letters, subscription publications and payments reach people even in the most remote areas of the country.

Last year, the number of mobile mail carriers increased from 440 to 465. At the same time, the number of addresses they serve increased, from 650 thousand to more than 760 thousand addresses. This demonstrates the consistent commitment of Lithuania Post to ensure that postal services are conveniently accessible to all residents, regardless of their place of residence.

"A mobile postman is not only a service, but also a human connection, a connection with loved ones and the whole world. We must ensure that convenient postal services reach every resident of the country, regardless of whether they live in a city or in the most remote region of the country. The increasing volume of services provided by a mobile postman clearly demonstrates their relevance and the growing trust of residents," says Akvilė Danielė, Vice Minister of Transport and Communications.

"It is important for us that residents feel assured that all necessary postal services will reach them on time and conveniently. Mobile postmen allow Lithuanian Post to be closer to people and strengthen ties with regional communities. The relevance of the services provided by postmen at home is best illustrated by their constantly increasing numbers," says Giedrė Vaitekūnaitė, Head of the Network Department of Lithuanian Post.

In 2025, the largest number of mobile courier services was provided in Šakiai District Municipality – almost 430 thousand. Next in line are Panevėžys District Municipality, where more than 412 thousand services were provided, and Biržai District Municipality, where the number of services exceeded 376 thousand.

In total, mobile couriers traveled 11 million kilometers in 2025.

The mobile postman visits residents to send a letter or parcel, or to order a subscription publication. Like other Lithuanian Post postmen, they also deliver pensions, parcels, and letters. In addition, the mobile postman can accept contributions and taxes and offer postal parcel packages, postage stamps, envelopes, postcards, and other postal items.
