In January, more than 14 million euros were invested through the app, the third highest amount since its launch in July 2024.
The average daily subscription value in January was €681,000, up from €640,000 in December. Transactions made through the app that month represented more than 11% of the total CTT channels, revealing a growing trend among savers to subscribe online through this digital channel.
The CTT app allows for the subscription of public debt (Savings Certificates and Treasury Certificates) in a simple, fast and secure way, anytime and anywhere. Since the launch of this feature in July 2024, it has had enormous adoption by savers.
The clear competitiveness of Savings Certificates compared to other investments and savings options, such as most term deposits, combined with the security and simplicity of the CTT app, which allows top-ups starting from 10 euros after an initial investment of 100 euros, justifies the growing demand for this channel.
The new Save and Protect area of the CTT app allows savers who already have a savings account to subscribe to or top up their savings account; simulate the return their investment could generate and share that simulation with whomever they wish; and also view the history of the latest transactions in their savings account.
All these services are available for existing Savings Accounts. New Savings Account openings must be done in person at one of the approximately 570 CTT stores spread across the country. If the customer wishes to open an account immediately, it is possible to obtain a digital password through the CTT App. Alternatively, the customer can also schedule a visit to the store at the location and time that is most convenient for them through the CTT website or by calling 800 201 800.
This area reinforces the existing service offering in the CTT app, where customers can already track CTT and other operators' items, manage their Locky Locker and simulate and/or carry out shipments, create their virtual address and pay tolls on the former SCUT highways, all from their mobile phone.
