Swiss Post moves to the heart of a fast-growing district
In mid-January 2026, around 190 Swiss Post office workers moved into a new building in the Malley Central project, in the municipality of Renens (VD). Located next to the Prilly-Malley railway station, the new offices are in a rapidly changing district and are easily accessible by train, metro, several bus routes and soon by tram. On three floors rented by Swiss Post, the new site provides space for approximately 250 employees in total. It will be the Swiss Post’s third-largest office location, behind the main Swiss Post headquarters in Bern and its office site in Zurich. Today, Swiss Post presented its new offices to the media and authorities.
Swiss Post boosts its position on the labour market in French-speaking Switzerland
By establishing a centralized office location in the canton of Vaud, Swiss Post is providing its employees with suitable, well-located office spaces that offer modern equipment. The offices will be available to office workers from all Swiss Post units. The new site will be home to the IT department, which has seen its Lausanne team expand since 2023 in order to support the Neuchâtel site. With this move, Swiss Post is reaffirming its commitment to increase its appeal so that it can attract the best talent in digital innovation to French-speaking Switzerland. It aims to continue expanding its IT department in Renens (VD) over the coming years. Pascal Grieder, Swiss Post’s CEO, says: "By opening our site in Malley, we’re creating a space that transcends linguistic boundaries. It means we’re making a long-term investment in French-speaking Switzerland.”
A regional hub strategy in keeping with new working methods
Swiss Post has been gradually developing regional office hubs since 2023. Office workers from all over Switzerland will have access. By deploying this strategy, Swiss Post is responding to the changing habits of employees. With the advent of new communication technologies and the option to work from home, the small office sites spread throughout Switzerland are often underused. By creating more modern, centralized and easily accessible office spaces, Swiss Post is making working from the office more appealing while fostering a culture of collaboration. Thanks to these regional office hubs, Swiss Post is providing more spaces dedicated to teamwork and projects, while offering more quiet workstations.
