Larger boxes, expandable insurance, and online service are the new features of Correos' Bicycle Package service.
Santiago de Compostela, April 29, 2026 - Correos offers pilgrims who are going to do the Camino de Santiago by bicycle the possibility of booking online the shipment of their bikes back to their places of origin.
The Camino with Correos is launching this new feature in the Bicycle Package, which until now could only be requested in office: booking through the website allows you to reserve everything before starting the Camino de Santiago and thus avoid the worry of how to get the bicycle back home.
The Paq Bicicleta service can be requested through a simple form in which you indicate the date on which you wish to send the bike from the Main Post Office of Santiago – located 2 minutes from the Cathedral – how many bikes there are and the destination post office.
In addition, for pilgrims who choose this option, Correos (the Spanish postal service) will offer larger boxes (170 cm long, 30 cm wide, and 90 cm high) to pack bicycles with minimal disassembly. They will have €300 insurance, which can be increased as needed, and a tracking number to locate their bicycle at all times. Pilgrims can send their bicycles every day, Monday through Sunday, including holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
