Holger Winklbauer, IPC Chief Executive Officer says: “Peter brings a solid experience in big team management, change manage

Peter Billiau has a long experience as IT leader with a focus on IT strategy, IT service management, digital transformation for large companies in the telecoms, banking, chemical and utilities sectors, including among others Yara, EDF Luminus, Dexia, Vodafone UK, Belgacom Mobile and Barco.
In the past years, Peter worked as Chief Operating Officer for the Belgian IT provider, NRB, holding P&L accountability for cloud, security, mainframe and workplace. He also founded a start up to boost company and team performance through digital transformation, team effectiveness, executive coaching and business and IT unification.
A Belgian national, Peter Billiau graduated as Civil Engineer from the Catholic University of Louvain. He is also a licensed Human Element Practitioner (LHEPTM).
Peter Billiau says: “I look forward to bringing my experience to support IPC in the transformation already underway, drawing on the most recent technological advances, including AI. I am pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a sector that is fundamental to both the economy and society.”
To allow for a smooth transition, the current IPC CIO Markus Apfelbeck will stay in IPC until September. Since he joined IPC in 2019, Markus has been successfully leading the IPC IT team to elevate IPC's IT capabilities, to better serve the members, and played a pivotal role in enabling IPC to achieve the ISO Certification.
