The modernization of the logistics center in Cluj-Napoca represents a new step in the transformation of the Romanian Post's infrastructure and strengthens the company's ability to manage increasing volumes of parcels, in a shorter time and with a greater degree of efficiency.
On Friday, August 7, in Cluj-Napoca, the Romanian Post inaugurated the new stage of development of the Regional Logistics and Courier Hub, in the presence of the company's General Manager, representatives of local authorities and public institutions, as well as media representatives.
With 21 years of experience, the Cluj-Napoca hub has consistently represented a strategic point of the regional logistics infrastructure. Through its modernization, the logistics center is ready to respond to new market demands, through a high-performance infrastructure and technological solutions aimed at increasing the speed, precision and efficiency of processing.
The new infrastructure allows the processing of approximately 7,000 parcels every hour, consolidating the position of the Cluj-Napoca Regional Logistics and Courier Hub within the national network of the Romanian Post. The increase in processing capacity contributes to the optimization of logistics flows, the reduction of processing times and the efficiency of courier and parcel services.

Investment in technology and automation is essential for the Romanian Post to keep up with market evolution and meet the needs of a modern Romania", declared Valentin Ștefan, General Director of the Romanian Post.
Through the investments made in Cluj-Napoca, Poșta Română is strengthening its capacity to respond to the accelerated evolution of the courier and parcel market and contributing to increasing the performance of its entire logistics network.
A modern logistics network, built at a national level
The modernization of the Cluj-Napoca hub is part of a large investment and digitalization program carried out by Poșta Română at a national level. The company is developing a modern network consisting of eight regional hubs, aimed at increasing processing capacity and streamlining logistics flows.
To date, centers in Cluj-Napoca, Galați, Oradea, Timișoara and Bucharest have been completed, and other hubs are under development in Craiova, Brașov, Roman and Deva.
The new logistics infrastructure integrates advanced sorting and automation technologies, designed to optimize operational flows and significantly increase network performance. At national level, the total sorting capacity of the Romanian Post currently exceeds 500,000 parcels per day.
Through investments in modernization, automation and technology, Poșta Română continues its transformation into a modern logistics company, capable of responding more quickly and efficiently to customer requirements and market evolution.
