– Nord-Norsk Spedisjon is a well-run company with a strong foothold in the Narvik region. The company is good at project logistics and has a strong position within defense logistics. They also have solid expertise and experience with project logistics in other industries, such as wind projects, says Anne Stenseth Kristoffersen, CEO of Bring Cargo.
– The acquisition of Nord-Norsk Spedisjon strengthens our position in the Narvik region. We will gain increased capacity and expertise within defense logistics for both the Norwegian Armed Forces and our allies in NATO, says Stenseth Kristoffersen.
Narvik has a very strategic location with a port, railway, E6, proximity to the airport in Evenes and the army forces in Troms.
The Norwegian Armed Forces and NATO Narvik's combination of ice-free harbor and rail connection to Sweden has long made the city an important logistics hub for the Norwegian Armed Forces and NATO.
The city will become even more important in the future after Sweden and Finland have now joined the defense alliance. Narvik is pointed out as the natural gateway for allied forces, both during exercises and in the event of a possible conflict.
Project logistics – Bring Cargo is the partner we wanted. We had several interested parties to buy the company and were in dialogue with Bring early on. The process has been going on since February, and we are incredibly pleased to have reached an agreement. The chemistry is very good and we look forward to developing the company and our services further, says Terje Dypvik, owner of Nord-Norsk Spedisjon.
Nord-Norsk Spedisjon was established in 1988, has four employees and is experts in forwarding and freight transport.
