The Hague, 30 September 2026 – The Dutch government has selected PostNL for the delivery of the majority of its mail in the coming years. The new agreement will take effect on 1 January 2027 and covers mail from, among others, Dutch ministries, the Employee Insurance Agency (UWV), the Social Insurance Bank (SVB), the Electoral Council, the judiciary and the Dutch Tax Administration. As an important customer of PostNL, the government continues to rely on PostNL for the delivery of hundreds of millions mail items each year.

The Dutch government valued PostNL’s approach to reliability, sustainability and social responsibility. It also took into account PostNL’s efforts to create employment opportunities and its investments in high-quality, future-proof postal delivery.
