Every year, the Financial Times and Statista compile a list of European companies that are making progress in cutting greenhouse gas emissions. The primary focus is on Scope 1 and 2, emissions from a company’s own organisation, but transparency in Scope 3, indirect emissions from a company’s supply chain, is also included in the list. PostNord securing a place on the list, for the fourth year in a row, is proof that our sustainability work is robust and achieves real results.
How far have you come in cutting emission?
Since 2020, we have achieved a 63 percent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and in Scope 3, we have reduced our emissions by almost 30 percent per parcel. This is good progress, but we have more to do.
In what other ways are you advancing sustainability efforts?
In addition to tangible emission reductions, we also want to work together within our value chain to promote climate action. That is why we have joined The Climate Pledge. Participants commit to reaching the Paris Agreement's goal of net zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2040, which is ten years ahead of the deadline.
Significant progress and future ambitions
Looking ahead we will continue our group-wide climate transition program, Green by PostNord, and step up our work towards net-zero by 2040! Climate leadership is a way of futureproofing our business and meeting current and coming customer requests.
