Posti has received a ‘B’ rating in its first CDP Climate Change assessment. CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) is an internationally recognized disclosure system that scores companies’ climate actions, transparency, and the ambition of their emission reduction targets. The rating scale is from A to D-.

A B rating indicates that Posti has made significant progress in its climate work and systematically manages climate risks. The score is a strong indication of Posti’s commitment to reducing emissions and developing its operations toward becoming fossil-free. Posti aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040. The company focuses particularly on fossil-free transportation fleet, energy-efficient warehouses, and circular economy solutions.

We are proud of this result. The CDP assessment is one of the world’s most comprehensive climate disclosure systems, and a B rating on our first participation shows that our long-term climate work is taking us in the right direction. We will continue working to reduce emissions and develop climate-resilient solutions together with our customers and partners,” says Posti’s VP Sustainability and Stakeholder Relations Anna Storm.

CDP reporting helps companies understand the current state of their climate work and identify areas for improvement, as well as compare their performance with other companies. Through reporting, this information is openly available to both customers and investors. This year, over 22,100 companies responded to the questionnaire worldwide.

Posti’s climate target under the Science Based Targets initiative is to reduce Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions 50% by 2030 from a 2020 base year.
