The winning projects of CTT's carbon offsetting initiative have been announced, chosen through an online public vote that took place between October 6th and 20th. The winners were the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park Preservation project, in the national projects category, with 115 votes, and the AgreenaCarbon Project, dedicated to regenerative agriculture in Europe, in the international projects category, with 154 votes.

Support for these projects will offset 241 tons of CO₂ emissions associated with the transport and distribution activities of the Green Mail service, contributing to climate change mitigation and the promotion of solutions with a positive environmental impact.

The national project aims to preserve the fauna and flora of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park through the recovery of natural habitats, the planting of native species, the eradication of invasive species, and the implementation of erosion control measures. These interventions aim to contribute to biodiversity conservation and ecosystem resilience.

The AgreenaCarbon Project supports the adoption of regenerative agriculture practices on farms in ten European countries, promoting practices aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing carbon stored in soils. The initiative also seeks to improve soil health, water retention, and the resilience of farms in the face of climate challenges.

This initiative reinforces the commitment to projects that promote concrete solutions to current climate challenges, generating environmental value through the conservation of natural heritage and the adoption of practices that favor the regeneration of ecosystems.

Nature and regenerative agriculture are the public's choices.
Conserve today, protect the future.
