Hotel accommodation

We have provisionally booked at the Bonn Marriott Hotel Deluxe rooms for Wednesday 22, Thursday 23 and Friday 24 for guests at a nightly rate of EUR 170 for single occupancy. Rates are inclusive of breakfast and taxes. 

Double occupancy is offered at an additional EUR 35. 

Delegates will be kindly required to settle the cost of hotel accommodation and extras directly with the hotel upon departure.

When you select your room, your reservation request will be booked directly with the hotel from IPC.  

We encourage you to reserve your accommodation by Thursday 18 April 2019.

 

Event venue

The IPC Annual Conference 2019 and conference lunch will take place at the Post Tower, the headquarters of Deutsche Post DHL Group, and a landmark in the city of Bonn. It is designed by German-American architect Helmut Jahn and won the 2002 Silver Emporis Skyscraper Award.  

The Post Tower and Marriott Bonn Hotel are conveniently located within walking distance of each other. 

 

Friday afternoon excursion

After the conference lunch on Friday 24 May, Deutsche Post DHL Group will offer a guided visit to the DHL Innovation Center. 

The DHL Innovation Center is the heart of DPDHL’s innovation activities, where the latest technologies for the logistics sector can be experienced and tested and sector-specific trend research are presented. “Be inspired by visions, trends and the latest logistics solutions and service”.

A bus transfer will depart from the Post Tower at 14:00. The guided tour will take place from 14:30 to 16:30.

 

Transfers

According to the arrival time provided on the conference registration website, guests will be transferred to the Bonn Marriott Hotel. Upon request, IPC delegates attending the IPC meetings on Thursday can be transferred directly to Post Tower.  

ARRIVAL

Different travel options are available in order to reach Bonn:

  • Frankfurt Airport: we highly recommend that guests take the High Speed Train  ( ICE) from Frankfurt Airport to Siegburg train station. IPC / Deutsche Post DHL Group representatives will be at Frankfurt Airport Arrivals to guide guests to the correct train platform, located within the airport. Please be aware that the total travel time from landing in Frankfurt Airport to Siegburg train station will be approximately two hours. 
    Please note that the High speed train runs every 45 minutes with a journey time of 40 minutes. For more information on train schedule and ticket please consult bahn.com.
  • Siegburg train station: Guests will be met at the platform by IPC / Deutsche Post DHL Group representatives who will guide them to the shuttle bus.
  • Cologne Bonn Airport: Guests will be met at the Cologne Bonn Airport Arrival by IPC / Deutsche Post DHL Group representatives who will guide them to the shuttle bus.

DEPARTURE

Return transfers to Cologne Bonn airport and / or to Siegburg train station, will be provided on Friday 24 May only. The departure time will be communicated closer to the event, according to the information provided upon registration.

For guests participating in the visit of the DHL Innovation Center, transfers will leave immediately after the tour ends, arriving at 17:00 at Cologne / Bonn Airport or Siegburg train station. 

 

Cancellations or no-shows

You may cancel your attendance at any time following your registration to the IPC Annual Conference. Cancellations must be communicated by email to [email protected].

Please note that changes involving a reduction in the number of rooms and / or nights can be made without cancellation fee up to and including Thursday 18 April 2019. Any registrations received after this date will be considered final.

Due to our pre-booking of rooms at a negotiated price, for changes to registrations received after Thursday 18 April that involve a reduction in the number of rooms, and / or nights’ accommodation originally reserved, guests will be liable for 100% of the room cost for the cancelled nights. No-shows will also be rebilled at 100% of the accommodation cost for the nights reserved.
